1-on-1 Coaching

Our 1-on-1 coaching engagement is not for the faint of heart. It’s designed for leaders who are hungry for results and willing to do the work to become more effective leaders, build higher performing teams and create deeper, lasting impact.

Pre-Work

Once we’ve had our Intro call, our journey begins with a 90-minute Discovery session, where we’ll clearly define your goals, map out your areas for growth, and create a high-level roadmap for the work and themes ahead.

Session Work

In each 1:1 session (50-mins, semi-monthly), we’ll explore a specific skill, decision or situation and use a variety of techniques to help uncover what’s going on under the hood. And if you’re willing, you’ll walk away from each session making empowered choices and taking clear actions.

Between Sessions

While the session-work serves to unlock new insights, the lasting impact takes place between sessions, with each inquiry or action you take (or don’t take). We continuously gather feedback and reflect on your results in each session, as well as in our progress check-ins.

How is Our Approach Different?

When faced with a challenge, traditional leadership training can offer useful theory and tools (content), which can help improve things for a while. But over time, the impact wears off and we find ourselves pushing the same boulder, up a different hill - in the next project, with another team member or in the next job.

Why? Because traditional approaches only address the content - the surface layer symptom rather than the context - deeper root of the issue, which is often so firmly rooted that it’s hard to see and even harder to change.

Our Approach - Coach the Context

Instead of jumping into problem solving a situation or pointing to a generic leadership tool, we’ll first get curious about your context (i.e. your mindset, how you are relating to it) in order to uncover to the underlying beliefs, behaviors and perspectives that may be holding you back. Once we understand the root cause, we will guide you through some powerful, yet practical techniques to help you shift those deeply rooted perspectives and behaviors.

Our Approach - Coach the Leader

Rather than follow a one-size-fits-all leadership curriculum, we personalize and hand-pick techniques for your unique leadership style and growth stage. Our techniques draw from a large body of research in neuroscience, deep traditions and more recent models (e.g. Design Thinking, Positive Psychology, Conscious Leadership, Growth Mindset, Co-Active) but we firmly believe the best tools are the ones that feel right to you and create the results you want. That’s why we’ll study your results and help you fine-tune these tools to make them your own.
